Our skin is the largest elimination organ; it’s responsible for about 15% of our total body elimination. So detoxing your skin is a simple, effective and pampering way to cleanse your body from inside and out.



Dry skin brushin
Dry skin brushing is a great way to enhance the detox process of your skin. It’s very easy, pleasant and has many health benefits. It stimulates the blood circulation, the lymphatic system and eliminates toxin. Brushing your skin gently is one of the best natural lymphatic cleansers you can do.

The lymphatic system is composed of lymph vessels, lymph nodes, and organs. It’s your defense system; the lymph nodes work as a filtration system that keeps bacteria’s away from the bloodstream.
By stimulating your lymphatic system with skin brushing, all the functions above will be activated and promote detoxification, as well as improve your skin quality and body tone. It also helps the new skin to regenerate, which improves the appearance of your skin.

The important thing is that you use a natural (so no synthetic) bristle brush.

How does it work?
– Begin by brushing your feet, including the soles and move in long, sweeping motions toward your heart
– Always brush toward your heart to follow your blood circulation
– Work from bottom to top, and brush every part of your body, including sensitive part like your breasts (but be gentle)
– Once you’ve brushed your whole body, get in the shower. This stimulates your blood circulation even more
– Apply a natural and organic oil when you’re getting out of the shower
– Remember to clean your brush every week and leave to dry in a clean spot|

Repeat this every day, you will see and feel the results after 30 days!

Scrubbing / exfoliation
By scrubbing your skin, you exfoliate your skin. Exfoliation is actually removing the oldest dead skin cells to maintain a healthy skin. Exfoliating will make your skin feeling smoother and looking fresh and clean. The best scrubs are the one’s you make yourself, with 100% natural ingredients. These are some of my favorite homemade scrubs I’d like to share with you:

Fresh lemon & coconut oil body scrub
– 50 gr granulated sugar
– 75 gr salt
– 5 tblsp coconut oil
– 2.5 tblsp honey
– a big squeeze of fresh lemon
– the zest of 1 lemon
– a few drops of lemon or olive oil

Detox coffee body scrub
– 1 tblsp finely ground coffee
– 2 tblsp granulated sugar
– a big squeeze of fresh lemon
– 2 tblsp salt

Exfoliating oatmeal scrub
– 50 gr oatmeel
– 1 tblsp honey
– 1 tblsp olive oil

Simply mix all the ingredients to make your scrub. Gently rub it in small circles over your face and/or body and rinse off with warm water.
