Chocolate mousse and healthy, are you sure those two words belong in the same sentence? Well yes they do with this recipe! Making healthy choices doesn’t mean you have to skip dessert. This mousse is made of avocado and raw cocoa powder. Maybe those ingredients don’t scream ‘lovely dessert’ to you yet but the result is going to surprise you.
1 ripe avocado
1 tablespoon nut butter
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 – 2 tablespoon(s) raw cocoa powder (depends on the size of the avocado)
Cut the avocado and add the flesh to your food processor. Add the maple syrup, nut butter and cocoa powder. Mix until it’s smooth. You can adjust it with some more maple syrup or cocoa powder to taste. Roast some hazelnuts, chop them and sprinkle them on top of the mousse. Enjoy!
